Week 7 and other Stuff

Life is busy and hectic...as usual. Despite our crazy schedule, I've managed to keep up with my marathon training. Scheduling my long runs with fellow runners from church has really helped keep me on track, at least on Saturdays. The runs on the other three training days are squeezed in between the hours of 5am and 10pm. Last week I ran 5 miles late Friday night and then 8 miles early Saturday morning before the sun came up. A neighbor, who apparently spotted me both times, asked: "you STILL running?!" I responded with a mysterious, "maybe."

Fundraising Update: Over $1,200 has made its way into the Gayle Ross Memorial Campership Fund already. WOW! My goal is $2,000. That's a week of camp for 5 kiddos. Yes! If you'd like to sponsor me as I work toward 26.2+ miles at the Route 66 Marathon, please visit Camp's donation page and then let me know that you donated and the amount so that I can keep track of my goals and give you credit. Easy! Thank you to all those who have already given so generously.

This spring I became a beta-tester/ambassador for the up and coming app: Localeikki. I had so much fun sharing some of my favorite running spots around town. This app is now available in the Apple Store. It will eventually be full of user uploaded content from all over the country. Perfect for when you are traveling and want a local running favorite instead of a hotel treadmill. Check it out!

And because I can not publish a post without pictures:
