Week 2 & First Day of School

Week 2 is finished! 24 miles this week. Phew! The best part of my running week was running my long run (10 miles) with a group from church on Saturday morning. I am a terrible group runner. I am so focused on not stopping that it is hard for me to keep up with conversation. But I knew they were on the trail with me, and that was nice. Fundraising is going great and I am just so moved by the generosity of our friends and family. I will continue fundraising for Camp Lutherhoma until race day, so there is still plenty of time to donate!

The big kids started back to school today. They were both so excited and...nervous. I remember those days, don't you? Addie met her best friend on the way to school and they hugged and tried not to cry, knowing they wouldn't be in the same class this year. So sweet. Jackson is in 4th grade this year, which is the highest grade at his school. Last year of elementary for him. Char seems to be enjoying the quiet and laid down for her nap at 10:00 am on the dot. That hasn't happened all summer. It is hard to say goodbye to summer, but nice to return to a little structure.

Can't wait to see what this year holds!
