I'm Kind of a Big Deal

Isn't Mother's Day another one of those greeting card holidays? Probably so. I like to tell my kids that everyday is Mother's Day because everyday, well, I get to be their mother. I'm not saying there aren't days that I don't want to hide in the closet (they find me) to get away from the questions, demands, fighting, etc. but mostly being a mom is gift enough. Really.
But the kids were bound and determined to make the day extra special.

They decorated the table...

Picked out cards and made gifts...

And David even found me a Minivan with flames.
The kids & David even went shopping at Siegi's for all the groceries for a delicious homemade meal, complete with a Ludger's cheesecake.
Yep. It was a pretty great day.
On top of a great Mother's Day, David and I went on a double date Saturday evening with our good friends, Buddy & Ann...SANS KIDS! Seriously, this kind of thing doesn't happen much around here.
So I guess I should say it was a pretty great weekend. Oh yeah, and I'm kind of a big deal.
Up next... SOCCER
