Dinosaurs & Super Bowl Party

Another big weekend for the kiddos. Poopa & Grandma took us to see Walking with Dinosaurs on Saturday...and it was awesome. I wish I had pictures of the kids' faces! Jackson asked "Where is the Utahraptor?!" midway through the show. Not long afterward some new dinos showed up and his eyes lit up and he clapped his hands. You got it...UTAHRAPTORS and he KNEW it. Even Addie loved the show (she loves anything her brother does) and cried at the intermission when she thought it was over. Jackson was so excited about it all that he didn't go to sleep until midnight that night--we could hear him in his room talking about dinosaurs.

And then we had the Super Bowl. David and I aren't huge pro-football fans. (Yes, yes. I went through a Rams phase while living in St. Louis) Anyway, we had no intention of really watching or participating in the festivities. When Jackson caught wind of it there was no way he was going to let this game go un-celebrated in our home. So we made football cookies, and other unhealthy snacks, put on our football jerseys and settled in on the couch. A couple of years ago we happened upon Animal Planets "Puppy Bowl" that airs simulaneously with the Super Bowl. The kids really think it's hilarious. We switched back and forth between the Bowls and enjoyed the kids' excitement. Here are some pictures from our party:
