My Workspace (Just for you, Fief)
Here's a glimpse of my newly improved work area. I am having a cork/pegboard/magnetic chalkboard made for the space in between the bookshelves. I hope to use it to hang up works in progress, and also double as a place for the kids to hang their artwork or draw. The closet next to the sewing machine is storage for a great many things--my favorite of which is a large metal storage shelf our neighbors passed on to us that now holds my fabrics and other craft supplies. Right now I'm working on a dress, but when I am finished or need to clear the space, it all fits neatly inside the lower cabinet of the bookshelf. What a nice feature! I used to just slide my sewing machine under one of the dining room chairs, which looked pretty junkie. The table in between the cabinets actually can expand out to dining room size--which is really handy for cutting patterns and such. In the picture you can see our little DVD player I use to watch various Jane Austen movies (Persuasion is the most recent favorite) if David is occupying the computer. It makes for a heavenly escape in the evening. Of course I'd love to get some color up on the walls...all in good time. The photos are for you, Tracey.

I am envious that you have got yours together. You did push that bed out of your way, didn't you!!! I found this awesome craft table that someone was giving away free on craigslist, but now the husband doesn't know if he wants to get rid of it. Grrrr. I am almost done with my area. I will post some pics when I get it together. I am working on my yoga mat bag - makes me remember our class in Tulsa!!!
wouldn't that be awesome to have a booth? From what we saw, I think we would have some major edge of the other people and their "flea market" products!!!
I guess we could make dog tutus--or monogrammed hot pads, so that we'd fit in. :)
