Cow Poop...Patties...Pies

Okay, so I'm sure many of the misunderstandings that go on between a 3 year old and his parents go mostly unnoticed, but yesterday while we were strolling through the "beef" barn at the Fair Jackson's confusion was evident. Here's the conversation that took place: Jack: "what are these things down here in the grass?" Sarah: "That's cow poop, Jackson." David: "...or Cow Patties." (Enter, confused face). David had continued walking at this point, but Jackson stayed in his squat near one of the well, um...patties. I could tell he was really bothered by something..."Why do we call it a Cow-Patti?" And then I figured it out...he thought we were talking about his Grandma (whom he called "Patti" at first). Hmm. "Cow PIES, Jackson," I said. With that he stood up, brushed the hay off his pants, and said "cow pies," and ran to catch up with David.
