Takes a Village?
Sometimes it does. This summer has been hard on our family. Work, weather and other factors have kept us from doing what we want and need to do (lake, mowing, rat extraction, etc.). David has been working some crazy hours--thankfully he is almost finished with this trial. Thanks to everyone who helped me/us keep my/our sanity...
Thanks for:
1. coming over en mass to babysit, and help with yard work.
2. spending three hours taking apart my dream car looking for a dead mouse
3. mowing a "little extra" (Roy & Kathi, our neighbors who take care of us!)
4. co-workers that encourage David and remind me to be proud of him! (Thanks, Steve--when is family night?)
5. helping us relax and have a good time during a very stressful one (Buddy & Ann...Fourth of July, and many other times)
6. homemade dinners and watching/playing with Jack
7. Religiously attending church--we can show up without calling and know you're going to be there...and take us to lunch afterwards :)
8. Phone calls & invites
9. Answering the phone and making late night trips
10. lunch at Cheddars with your friend who can smell the difference...I had a good laugh..and a good time.
11. always having an empty seat and full glass of ice tea (or crystal light) on your deck--even when there is no deck...
That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are tons more... Thanks, everyone!
