31 and stuff

Saturday morning I woke up, looked in the mirror and spotted my first wrinkles. Terrific. I'm sure that they had been there for a time but finding them on the day of my 31st birthday was almost poetic. Jackson has been planning for my "party" for almost a week now. He and David stayed up late wrapping gifts Friday night, after a day of J obsessing about it. Saturday, instead of sleeping in, Jack was up bright and early preparing for my big day. When I drove up, Jackson was standing by the door, when he spotted me, he disappeared. This was the lovely table setting I found when I came inside. Hanna Montana plates, High School Musical cups, and Hello Kitty napkins. He dressed himself specifically for my party. Ahhhh, Nobody loves you like your kids (at least for now).

After celebrating with our family, we headed up to Stillwater for a football game. Our friend Buddy came along with us and helped me encourage David who was irate even though his team was up by 30 points. Jackson and I passed the time by taking pictures of each other making silly faces. We were highly amused.

Our little Addie reading Lanie Learns to Share, surrounded by her bunnies & binkies. Jackson also loves this book as Lanie is one of his friends at church and he thinks she so funny--having a book about her is pretty special.
