So far so good

Despite what this picture suggests, my eye surgery was a success today. I couldn't believe how quickly it went--about 20 minutes total in the operating room. The actual laser surgery was about 15 sec on each eye. Most of the 2 hours there were spent on prep (letting the Valium work it's magic) and then "recovery." I couldn't see much when I left but after my prescribed 2 hour nap things were much clearer, and seem to be getting better by the minute. I am a lover of medical technology! I am looking forward to tomorrow when I can take the protective goggles off until bedtime. I think I look a bit too much like Jack's spaceman.

That really isn't a lot of damage to the eye like you would expect. I have long debated going back and forth about Lasik. Will my eyes still be okay in 10 to 20 years, etc? You will have to let me know what you think!!!
