Finished!

I finished my apron for my apron swap last night. I used THIS pattern from Marie Madeline Studio. I was a little nervous when I unfolded the pattern and it was hand sketched--but now I'm a believer! It was so easy to follow, and my apron turned out so cute. My favorite part of the apron is a "badge" I made using coordinating fabric, stickers, and a pendant from D. Reeves Design House. (For those of you who have commented on my Addie silhouette necklace that I made...this is what I used for that, too). I can't post a picture until I mail it to my partner, just in case she peeks at my blog.

I am planning on buying myself a sewing machine (nothing fancy)...been thinking about it for a while. I immediately thought of you when I came across this blog while wasting time at work looking for something else entirely. The clothing these gals make is unreal. Gives me inspiration but on the flip side, I'd be so bummed to see daily life splattered all over them!

The apron swap sounded like fun...perhaps an apron for Lilly will be my first project.

I am spending most of tomorrow working on aprons. I had some friends over who want to start sewing today, and I ended up helping them the whole time. So,I didn't get any work done like I thought I might. However, it will be fun when they can sew on their own. Can you believe I won the drawing?? If my lucky streak continues, you should win the next one!!!
