My Favorite Book of 2007

So I'm not going to list the books I read in 2007. Since I spent MANY hours awake during the night, I went through a ton. Some good, some not. The book that stands out as my favorite would have to be The Last Season, by Eric Blehm. Despite the grim outcome, I loved this book. I'm not sure why I was so enthralled by Randy Morgenson's (a seasoned ranger who disappeared in the Sierra Nevada mountains) story...maybe because he reminded me of so many friends I've met in my studies, travels, and work--or maybe because the descriptions of the landscape were so vivid I almost felt like I was there. Whatever the reason, it's a great escape from suburbia! If you liked Into Thin Air, you'd definitely like this book.
